First, St. Pat's day. Top 'o the Mornin' to ye! I am not one to miss that holiday, at least not in the past. This year - no dragon milk for breakfast, no green pancakes, and only a touch of green on my undies (I know - TMI!). Just not in the celebratory mood that day, I suppose.
Second, the beginning of Spring. Yes, it has "sprung" here. As a way to celebrate Spring's arrival, the temperature dropped to the mid-30s yesterday. It was grey and damp all day. No running outside.
Inside, I did start the Spring celebration. On Saturday I took down the blinds in the living room and kitchen, soaked them in the tub, and washed the inside of all the windows. I finished the project on Sunday. Now to do the rest of the "weekly" cleaning.
This week promises to be full. I need to get to Decatur and investigate new glasses (and there is a career fair at the local community college - but the last time I went it was a disappointment at best). Then I have a trip to Oglesby/LaSalle for getting hair "highlighted" and cut (I can almost make a pony tail now - or at least it seems that way). Back on Thursday to finalize cleaning on Friday morning before company arrives. Cousin Lynne will be here for dinner and two gals from Effingham will be here later (one gets off work about 7 PM, so they aren't expected before 9:30 or so). Saturday we are all going to Decatur for a 5K (the Penguin in the Park). It will be fun.
So, that's my week. Please note (and applaud me for) my restraint w/r/t politics.
"It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade." ~Charles Dickens
